These cards use some of the wonderful new range of Alpine Flower stamps from Artifacts. There are seven plates in this range and they have been designed by Mike Pinder and they are available from the Stamp Bug website. The stamps are unmounted and work well with EZ Mount and an acrylic block.

We gave three very talented designers, Penny Bearcroft, Sue Roddis and Felicity Goodwin, the same two plates of un-mounted stamps to see what they could come up with and I am sure they will all be quite different! The two plates all three designers have used are Alpine Flowers, UM016, and Alpine Meadow, UM017.

You might have noticed how into backgrounds I am at the moment! This is one of Tim’s techniques that I absolutely love to do, so I thought I’d share it with you. I’ve also used some of the new Artifacts stamps that I designed, called Complex Creation. The cards I’ve made here use several different Distress ink pads. You can mix and match the colours any way you like, as they all go together so well!

Memento Ink Pads

Memento dye ink pads are great as they are quick drying and fade resistant making them perfect for all your memory projects. The ink captures even the most intricate of designs giving a perfect impression. Once the ink is dry, it is water resistant as well so they work well with the watercolouring techniques.

There are loads of different chipboard shapes out there - book covers, flowers etc., all of which can be decorated in many different ways. This project uses a crown, by Maya Road, and some of the free downloadable paper available as an SSP Guild Member. We've also used Shrink plastic, but you could add any charms and/or beads. You could even mount a favourite photo on the piece to create a special wall hanging. This would look really good in a child’s bedroom or as a nameplate to hang on their door.
